Kaspersky
Anti Hack Internet Security - Firewall Protection
Kaspersky® Anti-Hacker is a personal firewall, providing full-scale
protection for personal computers running Windows operating systems.
It prevents unauthorized access to data, as well as hacker attacks
launched from both intranets and the Internet.
Full-scale
Control Over Network Activity
Kaspersky® Anti-Hacker controls computer activity via a dual-level
system of network activity analysis:
- Tracking Internet application activity (high-level operations).
Integrated analysis of all activity involving programs such
as Internet applications like Web-browsers, mail applications,
file transfer applications, etc.
- Packet filtration of incoming and outgoing data (low-level
operations). At this level Kaspersky® Anti-Hacker directly analyzes
sent and received packets.
Setting
Filtration Rules
According to a user's individual task requirements, Kaspersky®
Anti-Hacker allows the creation or alteration of any set of rules
to be applied to tracking application activity and/or to packet
filtration.
Establishing special security rules for Internet applications
is accomplished by setting Internet access to be permitted or
denied for each particular application depending on its type -
mail client, Internet messenger, web-browser, etc., or to allow
specific types of activity for each individual application (i.e.
to define the specific remote access services and addresses with
which an application can interact).
When setting packet filtration rules, it is possible to allow
or to deny the transferring of data based on specific types. When
analyzing packets of various types, the software makes a decision
regarding what action to take based on an analysis of the information
stored in each packet's header. Each packet header yields information
such as: sender and recipient's IP-address, the data transfer
protocol and more. Packet filtration rules can be applied to all
applications and provides effective protection against hacker
attacks.
Customized
Security Levels
Depending on the type of tasks you intend to perform, Kaspersky®
Anti-Hacker allows you to choose from five security levels, beginning
with the complete shutdown of all filters, to a total block of
all Internet connections. For each level users can specify security
and packet filtration rules.
Efficient
Protection Against Known Types of Hacker Attacks
Kaspersky® Anti-Hacker partly operates automatically - Attack
Detector provides a reliable defense against known types of
hacker attacks such as port scanning, ping, etc.
Automatic
Self-learning System
Kaspersky® Anti-Hacker has the ability to expand its list of security
measures for Internet applications via its "self-learning"
function. If an event occurs that is not described in the predefined
rules users may then include it and any specific settings for
how to handle it. In this way you can create a security profile
that ideally meets your requirements.
